CALL FOR COMPOSITIONS

Duet 2.26 is looking for composers who are interested in composing a work for flute duo (optionally with electronics and/or performance). Composers from all over the world and of all ages, genders and backgrounds are welcome to apply.

we offer

​​

  • A fee of CHF 3.500,- for a 15-minute piece

  • 3-days residency with the musicians in Basel, Switzerland, with accommodation

  • Up to CHF 300,- of travel expenses

  • The work will be performed in a concert together with other pieces for flute duo

  • Live video and audio recording of the piece

  • The piece may include electronics and/or some performative elements, but this is not mandatory.

  • You can use any of the instruments listed below.

  • May 15th 2025: Start of application

  • June 30th 2025: Application deadline

  • July 31st 2025: Publication of the results

  • One or two scores of a representative chamber music work and

  • One or two recordings (link to youtube, soundcloud, vimeo, etc. – attached audio and video files will not be accepted)

  • Biography with list of works

  • Short description of the idea of the piece (max. 1 page)

  • Registration fee: CHF 15,-. Please send us proof of the transfer.

The selection will be made through the members of the duo (Clara Giner Franco and Hèctor Rodríguez Palacios) and Ferran Planas Pla.

 

The selected composer will be informed of the result by e-mail.​
