INTERSTICES
Is it possible to distinguish between dream and reality? And between the physical and the digital? Starting from these questions, posed respectively in Situation 4: Viceversa by François Sarhan and in [CUSTOM #1] by Óscar Escudero, Duet 2.26 seeks to explore the space created in the encounter, blend, or confusion of two seemingly opposing categories. In this context, composers Chloé Bieri, Luis Codera Puzo, and Mathieu Corajod will create new works for the duet, moving away from the dualistic thinking of modernity. Thus, they will delve into a hybrid sphere that exists between or outside traditional dualities, characterized by ambiguity and indeterminacy. "Interstices," the new musical theater performance by Duet 2.26, will take place in this hybrid, ambiguous, and non-linear space; a space where new identities and meanings unfold. Additionally, the members of the duet will contribute their perspective through brief musical theater interventions that connect the various works with one another.
